The Committee of the Islands (COTI) and the League of Women Voters (LWV) of Sanibel have announced an important briefing on the upcoming Florida ballot measure, Amendment 3, which proposes changes to property tax calculations for homesteaded properties. This program, entitled “Property Tax Amendment 3: Understanding Impacts & Unintended Consequences,” will be held at the Sanibel Community House, 2173 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel, at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. The program will also be livestreamed via Zoom for out-of-town residents and state statewide through the League of Women Voters of Florida.
